What Format Will I Get My Whodunit Hunt In?
We’ll email your Whodunit Hunt murder mystery as a PDF file which you can use on your phone or tablet. Or download and print it at home, work, or at accommodation if you’re staying away from home. The document format is such that it prints like a booklet.
If you want us to print and post your Whodunit Booklet to you then we can do this for an additional charge.
How Much Is A Whodunit Hunt? Do You Reward Great Detectives?
The cost of our Whodunit Hunt murder mysteries sent by email is as follows:
- Walking Whodunit Hunts: £6.99,
- Standard Driving Whodunit Hunts: £7.99,
- Deluxe Driving Whodunit Hunts: £8.99.
If you successfully solve a Whodunit Hunt we’ll enter you into our prize draws. If you’re on our email list you’ll receive periodic discounts at certain times of the year too.
What Is The Distance Of The Clue Routes? How Long Will It Take?
In the details of each murder mystery, both online and in the purchased booklet, we tell you the distance in miles/kilometres and also give an idea how long it is likely to take to finish it (excluding refreshment stops). But it is NOT a race, just enjoy it at your own pace, that’s what’s so great about a self-guided trail!
Are Whodunits Just For Families With Children?
Absolutely not! We generally say anyone aged 8-88 can have a go, provided that mobility allows. We know that both families and small groups of adults have done them and love them! All you need is an appetite for fresh air and fun!
Are Whodunits A Seasonal Activity?
Absolutely not! All of them can be done on almost any day of the year; some have restrictions on 25th/26th December and 1st January. Whatever the time of year, just dress to suit the conditions. In autumn/winter it can be difficult to get motivated to get outside… but fresh air is always good for our health, and what better reason to get outside than doing something fun, exploring an area and discovering something new! Our driving Whodunits are particularly good if rain showers are forecast, just hide in the car or be driving to your next clues as the rain passes through! We recommend taking a clear folder for your booklet when rain is likely.
Note, we also recommend doing all of our Whodunit Hunts in daylight, not just for personal safety but also because some clues may be inaccessible (e.g. if a park is locked) or hard to see.
Are Clue Routes Suitable For Those With Mobility Issues, Or With Prams?
As far as possible, detectives have tried to ensure that all Whodunit Hunt routes have very few, if any, steps, and generally don’t have significant inclines. The details for each Whodunit Hunt will indicate any specific access restrictions or mobility requirements.
What If We Get Stuck On A Clue?
Whodunit Hunt Central will supply the answer to up to three clues if you get stuck. Simply email us (to the dedicated clue help address stated in the Whodunit Booklet) with your unique Whodunit ID and the clue you’re stuck on and we’ll reply with the answer. We do this because sometimes signs disappear or get vandalised… but we also really do want you to succeed! However, you’re on your own for the Super Sleuth picture clues!!
But don’t worry if any data/email-accessibility issues mean that you can’t cross off a clue at the time, as you don’t need to solve one clue before solving any remaining clues.
How Do I Get On The Sleuth Scoreboard?
Submit a correct answer for a Whodunit Hunt for a chance to appear on our Sleuth Scoreboard! The more murder mysteries you solve the higher your position could be – solving Super Sleuth clues gets you bonus points!
