Mary Mahon has alas been found murdered in the historic village of Moneymore. We recommend you start your murder trail at the Manor House beside the roundabout in Moneymore, as her body was found dumped there, however detectives think the murder was carried out elsewhere.

  • 25 clues to solve in a booklet packed with several pieces of extra historical trivia.
  • Allow 1½ hours to solve this murder mystery, excluding any stops for refreshment.
  • Accessibility – no steps to navigate, some streets are slightly hilly.
  • Refreshments – takeaways, a cafe, and a tearoom along the clue route.

Who Slaughtered Perry In The Sperrins?

Poor Perry Inghams disappeared after a late night out. Weeks later, his partially decomposed body was found at Reuben’s Glen, a spot where he liked to picnic. Luckily you don’t need to see the body, but what we do need is your help to piece together the clues and solve the mystery.
  • The Sperrins Whodunit Hunt starts near Moneymore and ends at Tullaghoge Fort just south of Cookstown. It has a ‘near-circular’ route.
  • See lots of varied historic sites with much lovely mountain and river valley scenery. Visit some of the best and most accessible neolithic sites in the area, including Beaghmore with seven stone circles, as well as historic ruined churches, forests and lakes, an ancient and significant fort… and much more!
  • Almost 30 clues to solve!
  • About 2¼ miles / 3¾ km of walking in total, spread across all of the clues. There are opportunities for extra walks en-route, if desired.
  • The driving route is almost 73 miles / 116 km, making it our longest-distance Whodunit but easily doable for a day out. We always try and pack as many fantastic sites into our trails as possible to make them varied, interesting, and fun… but alas we can’t move them closer together 🙂 Much scenery to enjoy between stops!
  • Allow around 5 hours, excluding refreshment stops.
  • Accessibility – it is generally flat where clues are to be found, though one clue has a slope down to it.
